Lockdown Restrictions in Albania Could Last 10 Months

Prime Minister Edi Rama has stated that the complete lifting of lockdown restrictions could take up to 10 months.

Speaking to journalist Eni Vasili on Thursday evening, Rama said Albanian will need to coexist with the virus and restrictions for a long time.

“The removal [of lockdown] won’t be like liberation day. It will be a gradual removal, partial, and we will cohabit with the enemy.

We will cohabit every day with the enemy, knowing that we could get infected each day.

This could take up to 2, 3, 5 or even 10 months, some say it could last 3 years.”

Rama announced earlier that restrictions in Albania will be eased starting from next week.
