On Sunday the LSI reported three attacks on party activists. Following these violent incident LSI Deputy Chair Luan Rama held a last-minute press conference in which he declared that “the Renaissance [PS] is escalating the cases of violence. Luan Rama also demanded the resignation of Director-General of the Police Haki Çako.
Earlier that day, former LSI leader Ilir Meta directly attacked Çako, stating that the violence will continue as long as Drugs Haki is there.”
The following three incidents happened over the weekend.
- In Puka, local LSI chair Sajmira Laçi and LRI chair Romina Ruçi were attacked by PS members. The incident was reported by the Shkodra branch of the LSI.
- In Fushë-Kruja another LSI member, Blerim Çela, was attacked in the LSI offices by an armed person.
A few days ago, after several attacks on LSI supporters, President-Elect Meta already threatened to arm his people.
