LSI Says Rama-Basha Agreement Brings Albania Closer to EU Accession Talks

Leader of opposition party Socialist Movement of Integration (LSI) Monika Kryemadhi defended today’s agreement between the opposition and majority as “the only way” for Albania’s EU integration.

In a Facebook post, Ms Kryemadhi wrote that “Albania’s EU integration cannot be sacrificed for no reason whatsoever.” She added that the opposition has taken up its responsibilities regarding the electoral reform, and called for its approval as soon as possible.

Kryemadhi stated that the opposition was contributing to meet one of the nine conditions set by the German parliament to open EU accession talks with Albania before the EU-Western Balkans Summit in Zagreb in May 2020.
