Prosecutors have released on bail, a man accused of raping his wife and sexually abusing their child.
A woman from Kalamata reported her husband to the police for repeatedly raping and beating her for more than 13 years. She also stated that he sexually abused their now 13-year-old daughter since she was eight. The woman said she decided to break her silence because he had also turned his attention to their child.
The prosecution decided to release him on bail before the trial on the condition he stays a distance from his wife and child and reports to the police station every month. He is also banned from leaving the country.
The accused apologies for the charges filed against him which include rape, sexual abuse of a minor, incest, domestic violence, and actual bodily harm.
