Police have arrested a 25-year-old man on suspicion of drowning a minor in Velipoja.
The 17-year-old child was found washed up on the shore by fishermen. They claimed that there were signs indicating violence on her body.
On 19 August, the man in question had rented a jetski and started touring the area with the girl. Two hours later, he returned to sea alone. He told the owners of the jetski that the girl had gone ashore with her uncle earlier.
He then told the police that the girl fell off the jet ski and he doesn’t remember what happened after that.
Her body will undergo an autopsy to uncover the cause of death.
