The Minister of Health, Ogerta Manastirliu, paid a visit to the Infectious Diseases Hospital on Tuesday on the occasion of the 1st anniversary of the pandemic.
Manastirliu expressed gratitude and thanks to the medical team of the hospital for their work conducted since the beginning of the pandemic.
She announced during the meeting, published on Facebook that on Monday Albania expects to receive other doses of the Pfizer vaccine.
“More than 20,000 vaccinations have been performed so far, we expect the other doses of the Pfizer contract to arrive on Monday to continue the vaccinations of all staff and the elderly that we have already vaccinated with the first dose,” said Manastirliu.
The Minister of Health said that the date of arrival of 14,400 AstraZeneca vaccines, part of the COVAX program, will be announced soon.
