More than 20,000 Vaccinations Given in Albania Yesterday

Health Minister Ogerta Manastirliu announced that about 20,000 vaccinations were performed on the second day of mass vaccination in Albania

“Day two of mass vaccination ends with the significant figure, 20414 vaccinations performed throughout the country”, said Manastirliu as she visited the makeshift vaccination center in Skanderbeg Square, Tirana.

The Minister of Health told the media that it is very important to register all vaccination requests on the e-Albania portal so no citizen is left unannounced and unvaccinated.

“Citizens should contact their family doctor to make a request for vaccination or apply on the e-Albania portal with a simple application request and will be notified by the family doctor of the day, time, and place of vaccination,” said Manastirliu.

“Citizens who are 85 years and older, the vaccination must be carried out near health centers, to be close to the place of residence, and for the +70 age group, the vaccination would be held in the vaccination centers.” she added.

Since the beginning of anti-COVID vaccination, a total of over 95,000 vaccination doses have been administered across the country.

The 15,000 foreign citizens in the country have been left unable to register for vaccination. The e-Albania portal is only available to Albanian citizens and immigrants who do not have family doctors.
