With the mediation of the European Union Special Envoy for the Kosovo- Serbia dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, the Kosovo delegation led by state coordinator Skender Hyseni held a meeting with the Serbian delegation in Brussels.
The topic of discussion was pensions and cadaster records. However the meeting did not yield any significant result as parties did not agree on each other’s stances.
“Even after a long discussion, there is still no significant approximation of positions. However, it was agreed that the discussion of this element of the general agreement between the two countries should continue at the next meeting,” said a statement issued by Kosovo’s government on Thursday.
This discussion was a continuation of the treatment of these issues at the last meeting on October 29, 2020.
Back then, the two sides disagreed on how to deal with the issue of the Association of Serb-majority Municipalities. It prompted EU envoy Miroslav Lajcak to visit both countries to find a solution.
