Kosovo and North Macedonia signed 11 agreements on Thursday in Skopje.
Macedonian prime minister Zoran Zaev hosted his counterpart Albin Kurti and the Kosovo government in a first joint meeting between the two governments.
They both stressed the excellent relations that exist between the two countries and vowed to deepen cooperation among themselves and in the region.
The agreements signed covered a feasibility study for a new road connecting Skopje and Prishtina, diaspora, border regulation of railway traffic, energy, tourism, innovation, technology, entrepreneurship, and local government.
Both governments are also pushing for more regional cooperation, but while North Macedonia has become part of an initiative designed by Albania and Serbia, Kosovo is pushing for this to happen under the umbrella of the European Union’s Berlin Process.
