One Company Submits Proposal for Electoral Biometric Identification Technology

Only one company has submitted a concrete bid to implement biometric identification technology in the 25 April elections.

The Central Election Commission announced that it had invited six companies to partake in the bidding process, but that only one had presented the documents, financial offer, and model of equipment that would be used in the elections.

“6 companies were invited to participate in this procedure, of which 1 company was presented. Currently, the CEC is in the phase of evaluating the bid, reviewing the documentation and evaluating the equipment submitted by the company,” they said.

No information has been given on the company that has submitted the bid or its owners.
