Pamela Qirko will be the new chair of the Independent Qualification Commission (KPK).
She was elected by her colleagues on July 20 via secret vote. Qirko received 7 votes out of the 12 total members of the KPK.
The vote took place in the presence of international monitors from the International Monitoring Operation (ONM).
Qirko will come into power on July 21, replacing Genta Bungo, whose mandate has ended.
