The General Director of the State Polic, Ardi Veliu said he has asked officers to stop any celebrations, events, or gatherings for Halloween.
Accompanied by officers from Tirana’s police directorates, he conducted an inspection of the Blloku area of the city last night.
During the inspection, he said he has asked the leaders of DVP Tirana to conduct more checks in premises, squares, boulevards, parks, and any public environment. Those found not respecting social distancing or wearing masks should be fined.
He then said that taking into account that tonight is Halloween, all structures in the country should take measures to not allow any events or celebrations. These, he said, are a potential source of spreading the COVID-19 virus.
