Today, Prime Minister Edi Rama and EU Ambassador Luigi Soreca visited a farm in Lushnje that were set up with EU funds.
Rama called on farmers to organize in cooperatives so that their products are sold quicker and in bigger quantities.
“The most important thing is that those who work the land should be organized. This is exactly like a cooperative, but with the individual interest of each in mind, according to what they produce. It’s the only solution…That’s the system, that’s the only system. “
Ambassador Soreca said that the farmers have welcomed him and there has been a big interest in the opportunity to receive funds.
“We have made a campaign for IPARD in recent months and on social networks and the reaction of Albanian citizens has been fantastic. There have been many positive comments, more than anything else.
The interest in the project has been very high. The campaign has been followed by thousands and thousands of people who have sought to become part of this investment and benefit from it.”
