The Public Commissioner has appealed the vetting commission’s positive decisions to confirm in their posts Judge Valdete Hoxha of the Tirana Court of Appeals, and Judge Etleva Deda of the Special Court against Crime and Corruption.
The Commissioner argues that the Independent Qualification Commission (KPK) did not conduct an in-depth investigation into the judges, and demands a thorough investigation into all three criteria: assets, proficiency and background.
The Commission demands the dismissal of judges for not providing enough credibility in the vetting criteria.
The KPK confirmed Judge Hoxha on 1 July and Judge Deda on 12 June.
