Rama Insults Journalist, Refuses Debate with Basha

Yesterday, Prime Minister Rama was invited by journalist Blendi Fevziu in the TV program Opinion. The interview featured an intense debate about the economic performance of Rama’s government over the last years, as well as the McAllister+ agreement signed by Rama and Basha to put an end to the political crisis.

As is becoming a habit of Rama, he peppered his interview with insults toward Fevziu. In response to a question about public debt, Rama responded:

I made a mistake not to tell you to drink fish oil before I came here because now you can’t take a dump.

Answering a question of Fevziu whether he would accept the invitation of opposition leader Basha to a one-on-one TV debate, Rama answered:

Debates I do with you. You are the representative of continuity. You are Sali [Berisha] and Luli [Basha] in one. The debate is a request of a politician who has nothing to lose and is holding on to the debate to win something.

Rama also announced that should the PS win the June 25 elections, he will immediately remove the PD’s technical ministers from his cabinet.
