Two days ago Prime Minister Edi Rama abolished Article 4 of the Decision of Ministers Council regarding the raised fees for repeated university exams. The move was previously announced by Minister of Education Lindita Nikolla while students from public universities had surrounded the building of the institution in their thousands, in protest against raised tariffs in higher education.
However, Minister Nikolla said the government is not responsible regarding students’ other demands, as they are in universities’ competency.
Despite PM Rama’s decision to meet one of the four demands presented by students, they kept protesting today.
Furthermore, students have added ten more demands to the previous four demands they had presented. They have expressed their firmness not to back up until all their demands are met.
