Parliament gathered today for three minutes to find out that there was still no presidential candidate. Thus the second voting round again brought no solution.
The third voting round will be held on April 27, 15:00.
In a response to the second failure in two days, Speaker of Parliament Ilir Meta stated:
We insist on dialogue and consensus. We believe in this and don’t want to prejudice the way in which the opposition is responding. We that also the opposition wants a president who comes through consensus. Above all to take part in the elections and that these are guaranteed to be free.
