The Tirana municipality will grant an additional amount of €330,000 to Fusha shpk for the construction of the underground parking below the Skënderbeg Square, even though said parking has been completed and is currently in use.
In total, for the construction of this parking, alone, Fusha shpk has profited approximately €2 million.
The first contract for the construction of the underground parking was signed by the Tirana municipality and Fusha shpk in September 2016 and was valued at approximately €1.64 million.
Meanwhile, a few days ago, the Tirana municipality granted an additional contract valued at €330,000, without giving any reason for this bonus. The municipality also granted an additional contract valued at €3,000 to the company 51N4E, for overseeing the construction of the underground parking.
Fusha shpk is the government main contractor. It was awarded the two tenders for the construction of Skënderbeg Square, valued in total at €12.6 million. The same company will be responsible for the construction of the Vlora Boulevard, valued at €7.7 million. Additionally, Fusha shpk will be the construction company for the clientelist project of the new National Theater building.
It is worth mentioning that Fusha shpk has conducted a big part of the constructions of the Prime Ministry building, begun immediately after Edi Rama came into office, “free of charge.”
