The High Prosecutorial Council (KLP) has appointed Elizabeta Imeraj and Kreshnik Ajazi to lead the Prosecutor’s Office of Tirana and Elbasan for a 3-year term.
A decision on Imeraj’s vetting by the KPK is expected next week, while Ajazi’s vetting process is yet to start.
The KPK did their own vetting of the two candidates for the jobs before appointing them on Friday.
Imeraj was appointed prosecutor in 2005, and for 13 years worked at the Serious Crimes Prosecution Office. In August 2018, she was appointed to temporarily head the Tirana Prosecutor’s Office. Ajazi also has been leading the Elbasan office temporarily since last year.
