Hateful comments against Albanians, alongside other sexist, racist, and homophobic speech, have cost three British police officers their jobs.
Five Hampshire officers were recorded in 2018 saying, among other things, that Albanians “should be shot or even killed with a nerve agent” and “illegal immigrants deserve the death penalty.”
Three of them were dismissed, whereas the remaining two had already left the force.
Chief constable of Hampshire, Olivia Pinkney, accused the officers of undermining public confidence in the police and damaging the reputations of colleagues.
