US Donates $800,000 for Restoration of Albanian Cultural Sites

The United States embassy signed a $800,000 grant intended for the restoration of cultural sites in three Albanian cities.

On June 23, US ambassador Yuri Kim announced the start of the US Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation Project to restore cultural sites damaged by the November 26 earthquake in Kruja, Durrës, and Preza.

The two year project will work on the restoration of Tower C in Durrës, the medieval fortress of Preza, and the Tekke of Dollma and the fortress’ clock tower in Kruja.
