The Appeal Chamber dismissed Prosecutor Eugen Beci of the Korca district on Tuesday.
The panel of judges, Natasha Mulaj, Albana Shtylla, Rezarta Schuetz, Ardian Hajdari and Sokol Çomo, decided by a majority vote to uphold the previous decision of the Independent Qualification Commission (KPK) to dismiss the prosecutor.
The KPK found issues in Beci’s asset declaration, and ruled that he had concealed the revocation of the US visa, and dismissed him in 2019.
Beci was one of the candidates applying to be part of the Special Anti-Corruption and Organized Crime Prosecution (SPAK).
