Following a month-long break, the Independent Qualification Commission (KPK) will begin vetting anew on September 6. KPK announced the news and updated the calendar on its official website.
On September 6, at 10 a.m. KPK will hold a vetting hearing for Durrës Appeals prosecutor Bujar Hoti.
The judiciary body will consist of Lulzim Hamitaj, Brunilda Bekteshi, and Olsi Komici.
Hoti is competing for a seat on the High Prosecutorial Council (KLP).
Other prosecutors who are part of a priority vetting list as candidates for KLP include Ramadan Troci, Shpëtim Kurti, and Besnik Cani. However, KPK has yet to make the dates of their hearings public.
The two magistrates that will face KPK after the above prosecutors, thus concluding the 57-people priority vetting list are judge Kastriot Selita, member of the Justice Appointments Council (KED), and High Judicial Inspector Marsida Xhaferllari.
