Armored vehicles of the Albanian military have been patrolling empty streets of Tirana to enforce the 40-hour-long curfew imposed by the government throughout the weekend, from Saturday 13:00 to Monday 05:00.
Albania will be under curfew during the whole week starting from Monday. Only a few shops will be open, including pharmacies and grocery shops, from 05:00 to 13:00. People will be able to go out only during this time if they must, and they are required to keep a minimum 1.5-meter distance from each other.
Police and military will be patrolling streets of the country’s main cities, particularly Tirana, to ensure the implementation of restrictive measures.
The country has reported 89 cases of people infected with coronavirus and two deaths.
