Last night, the car of the radiologist from Vlora who complained about the dysfunctional mammography machine in the polyclinic in Vlora has been set on fire.
Commenting on the act, the radiologist declared that during the ten years that he worked in the clinic he hadn’t had any conflicts with anyone. He suspects that the act of arson was related to his critical comments in the television program “Stop.”
As the radiologist had explained in the emission, the mammography machine in the Vlora polyclinic had stopped working since a year. Repairing it would cost about a third of the original price. The malfunction had been reported to the directors of the hospital, who had requested a new machine from the Ministry of Health, which, however, hadn’t responded.
Mammography scans are offered for free by the Albanian state, but for more than a year this service has been unavailable in Vlora.
