The Municipality of Tirana has decided to give EUR 120,000 (15 million ALL) to the Tirana football club.
The generous financial payment is due to them becoming national championships as well as celebrating 100 years since the club was formed.
Mayor of Tirana Erion Veliaj made the announcement during a virtual meeting of the Tirana Municipal Council.
Veliaj announced that from next year every team in Tirana that wins cups in various sports will receive a financial reward:
“All the teams that will bring cups to Tirana and whoever wins the championship, whether it’s Farka volleyball players or Dinamo basketball players, we will continue to reward those who decorate Tirana with cups.”
