The Ministry of Health has announced that it will offer free mammograms through the month of October in Albania. October is “Pink October” otherwise known as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
“Free mammography can be performed in the regional hospitals of Gjirokastra, Dibra, and Kukes, Lezha, Elbasan, Berat, Gjirokastra, Korca, Shkodra, Queen Geraldine Maternity, Central Polyclinic Tirana, QSUT. With extended hours from Monday to Friday, from 8.00 to 18.00 and on Saturday, from 9.00 to 14.00 “, announced the Ministry of Health.
Also, the ministry announces that “the two mobile mammograms will be in rural and urban areas throughout the country according to a calendar compiled by the Institute of Public Health”.
Examinations will be performed pursuant to the anti-COVID -19 protocol.
