The Parliamentary Ad-Hoc Committee for the Verification of Vetting Institution candidates has today started interviewing the 193 candidates for the 27 position in the Independent Qualification Commission (KPK), the Appeal College (KA), and the Public Commissioners.
The commission has two days to hear all the applications and has until June 1 to present the next two ad-hoc committees with a final list of candidates from the ranks of judges, prosecutors, and other law professionals.
From the 193 candidates that will be interviews, the National Ombudsman has qualified 84, while 109 didn’t fulfill the formal requirements.
The International Monitoring Operation (ONM), has given 67 positive recommendations and 17 negative ones for the 84 candidates qualified by the National Ombudsman.
Assuming that the committee will take two 8-hour work days to interview all candidates, and one day to write up its report, each interview will last less than 5 minutes.
The committee, however, has the right to move candidates from the disqualified to the qualified list with a majority of votes.
The committee consists of:

- Vasilika Hysi (PS)
- Luan Rama (LSI)
- Oerd Bylykbashi (PD)
- Flamur Noka (PD)
- Fatmir Mediu (PR)
If all deadlines are met, the vetting institutions ought to be functional before the elections of June 25.
