Albania will offer vaccination to everyone over 18 between June 29th-30th. Health Minister Olgerta Manastirlliu announced on Saturday morning that this measure has been successfully applied in other countries and has helped raise awareness about vaccination.
The Institute of Public Health informed that everyone wanting a jab will need to sign up on the government’s online portal, e-Albania, and reserve a vaccine.
Vaccination will be offered throughout Albania, and everyone who signs up will be informed about the time and place where they can receive the vaccine.
More than 1 million vaccines have been administered so far in Albania—about 400 thousand people have been fully vaccinated with the two required shots.
According to the Institute of Public Health, about 70 percent of people over 70 have been fully vaccinated, while vaccines are currently being administered to everyone over 50.
