Two patients diagnosed with COVID-19 have lost their lives this morning in Albania.
The first, a 43-year-old woman from Durres, passed away early this morning. She had been hospitalised for several days before losing her battle with the virus. It is not known at this stage if she was suffering from any other medical conditions.
Just a few hours later, a 26-year-old man from Kavaja passed away. He was also suffering from thalassemia at the time he got infected with the virus. He had been hospitalised for a total of four days prior to his death.
He is the second youngest victim of the virus in the country.
