192.000 people have been fully vaccinated after receiving both shots of the Covid-19 vaccine in Albania. That’s 6.6 percent of the country’s population.
Whereas in total, 638,338 people have received at least one vaccine shot, or 22 percent.
Health Minister Ogerta Manastirliu announced the figures on her social media on Friday.
Albania rolled out its vaccination program in mid-January. The first to receive the jab were doctors, nurses and people over 85.
Currently, vaccines are being administered to people over 60, factory workers, hospitality workers, frontline journalists and persons with autoimmune diseases.
In Albania, four types of vaccines are being used: Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Sinovac and Sputnik V.
