717 fines have been given throughout Albania for failure to comply with the requirement to wear masks.
The State Police announced that these occurred between 28-29 October. Out of the 717 that were fined 3000 ALL (EUR 24), 10 were arrested and accompanied to the police station.
During the checks, seven individuals refused to show identification documents or did not have it with them. These people were also accompanied to the police station, fined, and then released.
The Police have called on citizens to respect the measures, to wear masks, and to self-quarantine when required. They also asked that owners of businesses respect the safety protocols and do not oppose the job of the police.
