Private hospitals and laboratories in Albania will now be able to offer serological coronavirus testing.
The Technical Experts’ Committee at the Ministry of Health has approved a protocol allowing the beginning of testing for coronavirus antibodies in private institutions.
Tests will be assessed by the Institute of Public Health (IShP) and labs must meet IShP’s standards in order to conduct serological tests.
The Ministry has planned on conducting tests on some citizens for IShP’s research purposes.
