81 new cases of COVID-19 have been found in Albania during the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic to 4171.
In the past 24 hours, an 80-year old from Tirana succumbed to the virus bringing the total number of victims to 113.
The new cases were found in Tirana (50), Shkodra (4), Fier (3), Elbasan (3), Mirdita (3), Tropoja (3), Kruja (4), Durrës (3), Kurbin (1), and Kavaja (4).
The infected include people who have had contact with previously diagnosed cases, but also new ones into whom epidemiological investigations continue.
2352 people have recovered.
Around 34,000 people have been tested since March.
There are currently 123 patients hospitalized with the virus, 18 are in intensive care, three are intubated in aggravated condition.
1585 cases are still active in the country mainly in Tirana (824), Durrës (210), Shkodra (199), and Vlora (101).
