On July 27, the Independent Qualification Commission (KPK) confirmed Administrative Appeals judge Blerona Hasa for duty.
The ruling was taken by the vetting body made of Olsi Komici, Brunilda Bekteshi and Xhensila Pine.
During the vetting hearing, KPK announced that it had found several inconsistencies with the judge’s assets declaration.
According to spokeswoman Brunilda Bekteshi, discrepancies were found between the information presented in Hasa’s vetting declarations and the documentation filed with state institutions, with regards to construction in a house in Durrës. Bekteshi said that the financial analysis seems to indicate that the judge shouldn’t have had the funds for the construction work in question.
