5 people infected with Covid-19 have died in Albania in the last 24 hours.
Three women from Shkodra – 47, 51 and 72 years old – and a man from Tirana, 72, all with underlying conditions, as well as a man from Tirana, 65, with no underlying conditions succumbed to the virus, bringing the total number of victims to 166.
123 new cases have been found, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic to 5519, the Ministry of Health reported.
57 people have recovered, bringing the total to 3018.
2335 cases are still active in the country, about half of them in Tirana.
Approximately 42,000 people have been tested since March, including serological (antibody) tests.
There are currently 120 patients hospitalized with the virus, 18 are in intensive care, 6 are intubated in aggravated condition.
