Two people infected with COVID-19 have died in Albania in the last 24 hours. A 60-year old from Durrës and an 87-year old from Korça succumbed to the virus, bringing the total number of victims to 230.
119 new cases have been found, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic to 7499, the Ministry of Health reported.
About half of the new cases were found in Tirana (54).
22 people have recovered, bringing the total to 3816.
Over 50,000 people have been tested since March, including serological (antibody) tests.
There are currently 117 patients hospitalized with the virus, 16 are in intensive care, 5 are intubated in aggravated condition. 12 patients who no longer have the virus are still being treated for its symptoms.
