Two people infected with COVID-19 have died in Albania in the last 24 hours. A 60-year old from Tirana and a 62-year old from Shijaku succumbed to the virus, bringing the total number of victims to 232.
158 new cases have been found, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic to 7812, the Ministry of Health reported.
About half of the new cases were found in Tirana (81).
57 people have recovered, bringing the total to 3928.
Over 50,000 people have been tested since March, including serological (antibody) tests.
There are currently 101 patients hospitalized with the virus, 17 are in intensive care, 4 are intubated in aggravated condition.
