Albania COVID-19 Update 28 October: 6 Dead, 311 Infections, 85 Recoveries

Six people – aged 53, 59, 61, 61, 65, 80 – infected with COVID-19 have died in Albania in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of victims to 493.

311 new cases have been found, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic to 20,040.

85 people have recovered, bringing the total to 10,893.

There are currently 289 patients hospitalized with the virus, 11 are in intensive care, 5 are intubated in aggravated condition.

The distribution of new cases is as follows: Tiranë (100), Fier (66), Durrës (32), Mallakastër (17), Vlorë (14), Lushnje (11), Berat (11), Pogradec (10), Skrapar (10), Roskovec (8), Peqin (7), Elbasan (4), Lezhë (3), two cases in Korçë, Mirditë, Gjirokastër, one case in Krujë, Kurbin, Devoll, Kukës, Tropojë, Librazhd, Tepelenë, Divjakë, Gramsh, Maliq, Patos, Poliçan.

8,654 cases are still active in the country: Tiranë (4362), Durrës (832), Shkodër (518), Lezhë (389), Elbasan (384), Korçë (513), Fier (646), Vlorë (351), Kukës (184), Berat (256), Dibër (90), Gjirokastër (129).
