Twelve people – aged 34, 51, 56, 66, 67, 69, 69, 70, 71, 75, 77, 78 – infected with COVID-19 have died in Albania in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of victims to 571.
184 people have died since October 1, which amount to 32 percent of the death toll since the beginning of the pandemic, or 48 percent of the death toll before October.
525 new cases have been found amidst the 1,967 people tested, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic to 24,731.
This means that 11,077 people, or 45 percent of the total, have been infected in the last 5 weeks, since October 1.
111 people have recovered, bringing the total to 12,203.
There are currently 360 patients hospitalized with the virus, 10 are in intensive care, 2 are intubated in aggravated condition.
The distribution of new cases is as follows: Tiranë (222), Shkodër (38), Durrës (24), Krujë (21), Vlorë (21), Berat (20), Kukës (18), Kuçovë (15), Elbasan (15), Librazhd (14), Lushnje (11), Korçë (10), Përmet (10), Malësi e Madhe (10), Gramsh (10), Pogradec (9), Kurbin (8), Kavajë (8), Skrapar (8), Fier (6), Mat (6), Dibër (5), Peqin (5), Tropojë (4), Lezhë (2), Sarandë (2), Bulqizë (2), Devoll (1).
11,957 cases are still active in the country: Tiranë (5851), Durrës (1019), Fier (926), Korçë (748), Shkodër (693), Elbasan (602), Lezhë (554), Vlorë (525), Berat (360), Kukës (288), Gjirokastër (266), Dibër (125).
