French Ambassador to Albania: More Work to be Done For EU Integration

The newly arrived French Ambassador to Albania Elisabeth Barsacq stressed that Albania still has work to do to integrate into the European Union.

During a visit to Elbasan, Ambassador Barsacq said:

“As you well know, there are conditions to be met, such as the rule of law, the fight against corruption are conditions that I do not want to mention in turn because they have been said.

This does not depend on France, Croatia or Poland, but on Albania.”

She stressed that she has set herself the goal of doing everything in her power to help the country move towards the EU:

“When I was in Paris and I was being informed, I told myself that I will do everything for Albania to be part of the EU one day. But Albania must also do its job.

This is the task I set for myself and the message they gave me as an ambassador was ‘go there and make it possible for Albania to be part of the EU’. “
