Eight people – aged 33, 46, 60, 65, 65, 66, 74, 76 – infected with COVID-19 have died in Albania in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of victims to 579.
192 people have died since October 1, which amount to 33 percent of the death toll since the beginning of the pandemic, or 50 percent of the death toll before October.
563 new cases have been found, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic to 25,294.
This means that 11,640 people, or 46 percent of the total, have been infected since October 1.
150 people have recovered, bringing the total to 12,353.
There are currently 367 patients hospitalized with the virus, 15 are in intensive care, 3 are intubated in aggravated condition.
The distribution of new cases is as follows: Tiranë (255), Gjirokastër (56), Shkodër (43), Korçë (24), Elbasan (24), Fier (20), Krujë (17), Sarandë (11), Pukë (10), Kolonjë (10), Lushnje (9), Mallakastër (9), Lezhë (8), Kavajë (8), Vlorë (7), Berat (7), Kukës (6), Peqin (6), Durrës (5), Has (5), Tropojë (4), Gramsh (4), Pogradec (3), Kuçovë (3), two cases in Delvinë, Tepelenë, and one case in Mirditë, Kamëz, Përmet, Dibër, Malësi e Madhe.
12,362 cases are still active in the country: Tiranë (6034), Durrës (1037, Fier (949), Korçë (759), Shkodër (742), Elbasan (624), Lezhë (559), Vlorë (544), Berat (367), Kukës (300), Gjirokastër (322), Dibër (125).
