KFOR, NATO’s mission in Kosovo, has avoided to comment on Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic’s suggestion on a possible armed conflict between Serbia and Kosovo if the dialogue does not result in a swift deal.
KFOR said it remains fully focused to provide security and freedom of movement for all communities in Kosovo, as mandated by the United Nations, in a reply to REL/RFE’s request for a comment.
It added that they support the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina as the only political solution for stability in Kosovo and in the region.
On Thursday, Vucic suggested that the Kosovo-Serbia dispute is a “frozen conflict” like that between Armenia and Azerbaijan over Nagono-Karabakh, which could result in an armed conflict if a solution is not found soon.
