Albania COVID-19 Update 16 November: 8 Dead, 602 Infections, 564 Recoveries

Eight people – aged 48, 60, 60, 63, 71, 71, 74, 85,  – infected with COVID-19 have died in Albania in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of victims to 631.

602 new cases have been found, a record high since the beginning of the pandemic, bringing the total number of cases to 28,432.

564 people have recovered, nearly five times more than the previous day (122) and a record high since the beginning of the pandemic. The total number of those recovered is 13,543.

There are currently 406 patients hospitalized with the virus, 14 are in intensive care, 3 are intubated in aggravated condition.

The distribution of new cases is as follows: Tiranë (249), Gjirokastër (47), Lushnje (38), Fier (30), Korçë (30), Kavajë (30), Vlorë (27), Berat (24), Elbasan (20), Librazhd (20), Kukës (18), Përmet (16), Lezhë (12), Pukë (7), Kuçovë (7), Devoll (6), Mat (6), Dibër (6), Sarandë (3),  Pogradec (2), and one case in Krujë, Tropojë, Bulqizë, Kolonjë.

14,348 cases are still active in the country: Tiranë (6890), Durrës (1164), Fier (1122), Korçë (846), Shkodër (836), Elbasan (785), Vlorë (650), Lezhë (633), Berat (454), Gjirokastër (467), Kukës (358), Dibër (143).
