Kosovo Government Pledges €182 Million for Economic Recovery

Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti has announced the government plan to support the recovery from the pandemic of Kosovo’s businesses with €182 million during 2021.

Hoti announced the news on his social media on Tuesday, following a meeting with the National Council for Economy and Investments, an institution that aligns government plans with the needs of the private sector.

He said the government has assured the normal operation of most businesses in the country despite challenges posed by the pandemic, with  €60 million of a total of €87 million allocated to businesses in October 2020 only.

The prime minister asked the council to suggest reforms for the new fiscal package coming in the beginning of next year.
