Albania COVID-19 Update 25 November: 8 Dead, 644 Infections, 365 Recoveries

Eight people infected with COVID-19 have died in Albania in the last 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 743. The government has ceased to report the victims’ age, noting only that today it varied from 48 to 73.

About 48 percent of deaths related to the novel coronavirus have occurred since October 1.

644 new cases have been found in the meantime, bringing the total number of cases to 34,944. Since October 1, Albania has seen 21,295 cases, or over 60 percent of the total. 

365 people have recovered, 17,031 since the beginning of the pandemic.

There are currently 461 patients hospitalized with the virus, 19 are in intensive care, 7 are intubated in aggravated condition.

The distribution of new cases is as follows: Tiranë (258), Fier (48), Elbasan (44), Shkodër (38), Lushnje (26), Sarandë (23), Durrës (22), Përmet (21), Pogradec (19), Berat (16),  Gjirokastër (15), Kukës (13), Kavajë (13), Kurbin (10), Mirditë (10), Tepelenë (10), Mat (9), Gramsh (8), Kuçovë (7), Korçë (6), Mallakastër (5), Krujë (4), Lezhë (4), Has (4), Vlorë (4), Delvinë (4), Bulqizë (2), Dibër (1).

17,170 cases are still active in the country: Tiranë (8867), Fier (1373), Durrës (1252), Korçë (955), Shkodër (867), Vlorë (833), Elbasan (810), Lezhë (678), Berat (508), Gjirokastër (493), Kukës (375), Dibër (159).
