Eleven people infected with COVID-19 have died in Albania in the last 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 798. The victims’ age varies between 59 and 79.
About 52 percent of deaths related to the novel coronavirus have occurred since October 1.
835 new cases have been found in the meantime, bringing the total number of cases to 37.625. Since October 1, Albania has seen 23,976 cases, or 64 percent of the total.
329 people have recovered, 18,481 since the beginning of the pandemic.
There are currently 482 patients hospitalized with the virus, 29 are in intensive care, 8 are intubated in aggravated condition.
The distribution of new cases is as follows: Tiranë (306), Vlorë (59), Lushnje (52), Shkodër (50), Berat (45), Korçë (37), Durrës (29), Sarandë (27), Pogradec (23), Fier (22), Gjirokastër (20), Librazhd (18), Kavajë (14), Peqin (14), Krujë (13), Përmet (13), Gramsh (13), Kukës (10), Dibër (10), Skrapar (9), Pukë (9), Elbasan (7), Kuçovë (7), Tepelenë (6), Kolonjë (5), Has (4), Malësi e Madhe (4), Mallakastër (3), Mat (2), Delvinë (2), and one case in Devoll, Bulqizë.
18,346 cases are still active in the country: Tiranë (9371), Fier (1378), Durrës (1333), Korçë (1010), Vlorë (952), Shkodër (904), Elbasan (870), Lezhë (722), Berat (621), Gjirokastër (572), Kukës (408), Dibër (205).
