Albanians Living Abroad Legally Obliged to Register Address with e-Albania

All Albanian emigrants who are living abroad will have to declare their address to the government within 60 days.

According to the decision of the Council of Ministers, citizens must fill out an online form via the e-Albania portal where they must declare their place of residence. The decision states that if they fail to do so, they risk not receiving civil status services and assistance from Albanian consulates and embassies in their countries.

“Albanian citizens bear administrative responsibility for non-fulfilment of the legal obligation of self-declaration of their address and the responisble authorities, in case of non-fulfillmeent of this obligation, can suspend the performance of the required service until the citizen fulfils the legal obligation of self-declaration of address.”
