Seventeen people infected with COVID-19 have died in Albania in the last 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 839.
About 54 percent of deaths related to the novel coronavirus have occurred since October 1.
705 new cases have been found in the meantime, bringing the total number of cases to 39,719. About 66 percent of the total cases have occurred in the last two months.
528 people have recovered, 19,912 since the beginning of the pandemic.
There are currently 484 patients hospitalized with the virus, 38 are in intensive care, 13 are intubated in aggravated condition.
The distribution of new cases is as follows: Tiranë (386), Gjirokastër (43), Korçë (28), Vlorë (27), Fier (24), Krujë (23), Shkodër (21), Berat (20), Librazhd (18), Elbasan (16), Lushnje (14), Kuçovë (10), Kavajë (8), Kolonjë (8), Durrës (6), Devoll (5), Mirditë (5), Mat (5), Përmet (5), Tepelenë (5), Peqin (5), Malësi e Madhe (5), Mallakastër (4), Lezhë (3), Has (3), Delvinë (3), Gramsh (3), Dibër (2), Pogradec (1).
18,968 cases are still active in the country: Tiranë (10051), Fier (1457), Durrës (1343), Korçë (1011), Vlorë (926), Shkodër (843), Elbasan (822), Lezhë (719), Berat (621), Gjirokastër (559), Kukës (400), Dibër (216).
