Thirteen people infected with COVID-19 have died in Albania in the last 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 1016.
Over 60 percent of deaths related to the novel coronavirus have occurred since October.
661 new cases have been found in the meantime, bringing the total number of cases to 49,191. Over 70 percent of the total cases have occurred since October.
505 people have recovered, 25,325 since the beginning of the pandemic.
There are currently 433 patients hospitalized with the virus, of which 24 are in intensive care, 11 are intubated in aggravated condition.
The distribution of new cases is as follows: Tirana (178), Shkodër (51), Berat (45), Fier (43), Durrës (34), Elbasan (34), Vlorë (28), Lezhë (20), Korçë (18), Mat (18), Kuçovë (16), Kavajë (15), Mirditë (15), Gjirokastër (15), Lushnje (13), Has (11), Pogradec (11), Mallakastër (10), Kurbin (9), Pukë (9), Përmet (9), Peqin (8), Devoll (7), Kukës (7), Tepelenë (7), Dibër (7), Kolonjë (5), Malësi e Madhe (4), Sarandë (4), Librazhd (4), Krujë (4), Skrapar (2).
22,850 cases are still active in the country: Tirana (12187), Fier (1774), Durrës (1408), Korça (1136), Vlora (1138), Shkodra (1154), Elbasan (965), Berat (882), Lezha (847), Gjirokastra (561), Kukës (460), and Dibër (338).
